Properties

Polyester furniture felts provide high rigidity, dimensional stability, and excellent resistance to abrasion. The dense material structure allows for precise mechanical and laser die-cutting, as well as clean application of self-adhesive layers (PSA). A specialized application example is LamelFelt, designed for installation as a decorative backing and acoustic absorber in wooden wall slat systems.

Applications

In manufacturing processes, these nonwovens serve as functional components for finished furniture and consumer products. They are used to produce furniture pads that protect flooring from scratching and dampen impact noise. In turn, the thermal resistance of polyester enables the material to be used in tabletop accessories, such as placemats and coasters. In the upholstery and bedding industries, these felts serve as protective layers and structural insulation sheets.
